I get it, I know that visiting a new salon may feel a little intimidating, especially if you're unsure of what to expect. To help make sure your first visit is as seamless and comfortable for you as possible, I have compiled some helpful information to share with you!

Hair Stylist, and Lived-in Color Specialist

As the owner of Salon in the Hills, I would like to welcome you to my happy place! Salon in the Hills is a vision that came to life in 2020 (of all years!) I am so blessed to spend each day in the salon enjoying a career I am so passionate about.

I have been in this industry for 38 years and I love it more with each year that goes by! I have owned an Aveda salon in Dallas, Texas before I moved to Iowa and have owned my salon in Iowa since 2003.

It has always been my mission to help others see in themselves the beauty I see in them. I take my ART very seriously and strive to make sure every guest who leaves my chair is happy and confident.

I specialize in multi-dimensional, lived-in colors, grey coverage, and grey blending to fit each guest's unique needs.

Whether your appointment is with me, or one of my team members, I am confident you will feel loved, and welcome here at your new salon home!

What to expect

You will receive a text/email reminder confirmation 72 hours before your upcoming appointment. Please be sure to confirm so I know you will be coming.

You will be able to make changes to your appointment with this first reminder if needed.

Another appointment reminder will be sent 24 hours before your appointment, no action is needed on this reminder it is just a courtesy reminder.

On appointment day

Please arrive 2-3 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Late arrivals may be asked to reschedule for another time.

Parking is available at the main entrance to Green Hills Community. Also known as Lot A. It is a U-shaped drive. You are also welcome to park across the street at the Gateway Hotel parking lot facing the Greenhills Community. Call me if you have any challenges with parking @ 515-357-5074

Please enter Green Hills main entrance and check-in at the reception desk. Our front desk staff will let me know when you arrive and I will come to the front desk to escort you into our salon suite.

Come Prepared

Attire

Please avoid wearing clothing items that are bulky especially turtle necks and also clothes that you would be upset if they were to get hair color on them. I will have a smock for you to change into if you would like.

Dry, Clean Hair

Please come to your appointment with clean, dry hair. Preferably how you wear it on a daily basis. This will allow me to understand your hair needs better.
