I get it...Finding a new salon and hairdresser can be so intimidating! I hope I can put your mind at ease.

I started my career in Dallas, Texas but I'm now proudly serving clients in the beautiful college town of Ames, Iowa.

As a mom of 2 myself, I understand how important it is to feel pampered and taken care of while relaxing in a quiet and peaceful environment! That is exactly why I've designed my salon in a way to be sure you have not only access to all of your beauty needs but I am located in the quaint community at Green Hills. You will find it's away from the hustle, bustle and noise of downtown or campus town. Here you can feel uplifted & confident in yourself like you've never felt before and relax for awhile!

I truly enjoy watching the self confidence of women of all ages change as they see the new look we have created. I've seen women go from withdrawn and shy to bright eyes and grinning from ear to ear and it always reminds me of how much I LOVE my job!

I have been a stylist for 40 + years now. I knew from my early teen years that I would be a hairdresser although I don't remember how i actually figured it out....I just "knew". After a few salon disasters at a young age, I wanted to be sure no one EVER had to experience the trauma of bad hair!

I specialize in precision color services and pride myself in the fact that I will travel nationwide to obtain more advanced training.
​
I understand that most stylist offer a great first visit and an after-care plan, but I look at my role a bit differently. I work with my guests to create a long term plan for their hair. Whether it's a haircut, color, or both, I will always be checking in with you to make sure your hair not only looks great when you leave the salon, but weeks, and months afterwards as well! Be ready to learn some styling techniques and professional product recommendations to maintain your look at home.

When I’m not behind the chair, you might find me tending to our animals on our 3-acre farm—our fur babies Luna, Mischief, and Bully keep us busy! Chickens and lambs are next on our list. I’ve also been experimenting in the kitchen with homemade jams and jellies and I think I’ve finally perfected my strawberry-rhubarb-jalapeño version! If you think you have a better recipe, I'm all ears! As a "Mom-Mom", I get plenty of spoiling time with my grandsons at least one weekend a month, which is always a highlight of my month!

On lazy days, I enjoy a good non-fiction or self-help book because the human mind and emotions are so fascinating to me.
​
When we have the chance, my husband (the love of my life) and I love to travel but we enjoy the beach more than anything! There is nothing better than toes in the sand, and sun on my skin! Next up from our bucket list is Hawaii! someday....
